- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and diced onion for 5–7 minutes until browned, then drain excess fat.
- Add minced garlic and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
- In a separate bowl, combine cream of mushroom soup, milk or beef broth, paprika, salt, and pepper; whisk until smooth.
- In the greased baking dish, combine cooked rice, beef mixture, half of the shredded cheddar cheese, and sauce; mix until coated.
- Sprinkle remaining cheddar cheese on top and cover with aluminum foil.
- Bake for 20 minutes, then remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until cheese is bubbly.
- For an optional crispy top, broil for 2 minutes, watching closely to prevent burning.
- Let cool for a few minutes, then garnish with parsley before serving.
