Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, add the lean ground beef and diced onion. Cook for about 5–7 minutes until the meat is browned and the onions are soft.
- Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional 30 seconds until fragrant.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the cream of mushroom soup, milk or beef broth, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- In the skillet with the beef mixture, add the cooked rice and half of the shredded cheddar cheese. Pour the prepared sauce over and stir well.
- Transfer the mixture to the greased baking dish, spread it evenly, and sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top. Cover with foil.
- Bake covered for 20 minutes, then uncover and bake for an additional 10 minutes until golden and bubbly.
- Remove from oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Optionally garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
