Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil over high heat. Add fettuccine or linguine and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Reserve a cup of pasta water, then drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, melt unsalted butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant and lightly golden.
  3. Add large shrimp to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring gently, until the shrimp turn pink and opaque.
  4. Pour in heavy cream, stirring continuously. Bring to a gentle simmer for 2-3 minutes to thicken the sauce.
  5. Gradually whisk in grated Parmesan cheese until fully melted and smooth. Season with salt and freshly cracked black pepper.
  6. Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the creamy shrimp sauce. Use reserved pasta water to adjust consistency if needed.
  7. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
