Step-by-Step Instructions for Panko-Breaded Pork Parmigiana
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Generously season both sides of the boneless pork chops with salt and black pepper.
  3. Create an assembly line with three shallow bowls: the first with all-purpose flour, the second with whisked eggs and water, and the third with Panko breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
  4. Dredge each pork chop in flour, dip into the egg mixture, then press into the Panko mixture.
  5. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Fry the breaded pork chops for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  6. Transfer the fried pork chops to a baking dish. Spoon marinara sauce over each chop and sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
  7. Bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Remove the dish from the oven, let it rest for a couple of minutes, and garnish with freshly chopped parsley or basil before serving.
