Preparation Steps
  1. Chop the onions and broccoli; you can prep this a day in advance.

  4. Cover and cook on low heat for 4 to 6 hours.
  5. Stir in the chopped broccoli and shredded cheddar cheese 30 minutes before serving.
  6. After 30 minutes, fluff everything gently with a spoon before serving.
