Preparation Steps
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Evenly spread the trimmed and chopped rhubarb along the bottom of the baking dish.
- Sprinkle the strawberry gelatin and granulated sugar evenly over the rhubarb.
- Pour the yellow cake mix over the gelatin and sugar layers without mixing.
- Whisk together the melted butter, cold water, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt, then pour it evenly over the cake mix.
- Bake for 45 to 60 minutes until the top is golden brown and the center is set but slightly jiggly.
- Allow to cool at room temperature for 15-20 minutes before serving.
