- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
- Cut the butter into small cubes and mix it into the dry ingredients until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in the sourdough discard, milk, and vanilla extract until a soft dough forms. Add flour if too sticky.
- Lightly flour a surface and knead the dough 3–4 times until smooth.
- Roll the dough into a rectangle approximately 12x8 inches in size.
- Spread the softened butter over the dough, then sprinkle the brown sugar and cinnamon mixture evenly on top.
- Starting from the long edge, roll the dough tightly into a log and slice into 8 equal pieces.
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and bake the rolls for 15–25 minutes until golden brown.
- While baking, whisk together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla for the glaze until smooth.
- Once baked, drizzle the glaze generously over the warm rolls and serve.
