Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Prepare Marinade: In a mixing bowl, whisk together 2 tablespoons of olive oil, 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice, 1 tablespoon of honey, 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika, and 2 minced garlic cloves. Add 1 teaspoon each of salt and black pepper to enhance the flavors.
  2. Marinate Salmon: Place the wild-caught salmon fillets on a tray, skin-side down. Cover the salmon with the marinade, allowing it to marinate for 15 to 30 minutes at room temperature.
  3. Preheat Grill: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (around 400°F). Apply oil to the grill grates to prevent sticking.
  4. Grill Salmon: Place the marinated salmon fillets on the grill, skin-side down. Cook for about 5 to 6 minutes without moving them.
  5. Flip and Finish Cooking: Gently flip each fillet and grill for an additional 2 to 4 minutes. Check for doneness at 125°F to 130°F.
  6. Rest and Serve: Let the grilled salmon rest for 3 to 5 minutes. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges.

Marinating for no more than 30 minutes prevents the salmon from becoming mushy. Use a food thermometer to ensure perfect doneness.
