Step-by-Step Instructions for Chocolate Chip Banana Bars
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8x8-inch baking dish with parchment paper and lightly spray with cooking spray.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the unsalted butter and brown sugar. Beat on medium speed for about 2 minutes until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the large egg, vanilla extract, and fine salt to the creamed mixture. Mix on low speed until well combined.
  4. Gradually sift in all-purpose flour while mixing on low speed. Stir just until combined, then fold in mashed overripe bananas and chocolate chips.
