Preparation Instructions
- In a large Ziploc bag, combine all marinade ingredients. Whisk together until well mixed.
- Place the flank steak into the marinade-filled Ziploc bag, ensuring it's fully submerged. Seal the bag tightly and massage the marinade into the meat. Allow to marinate in the refrigerator for 4 to 12 hours.
- Preheat grill to high heat (450°F to 500°F) about 15 minutes before grilling, while cleaning the grates.
- Once the grill is hot, place the marinated flank steak over the heat. Cook for approximately 5 to 6 minutes without moving it for a nice crust. Flip and cook for another 5 to 6 minutes for medium-rare.
- Check doneness using an instant-read thermometer; ideal internal temperature for medium-rare is 135°F. Remove the steak from the grill and let it rest.
- Let the steak rest for about 10 minutes to redistribute juices. Cover loosely with foil.
- Slice the steak against the grain into thin slices and serve with your favorite sides.
