Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with melted butter.
  2. Sauté sliced kielbasa sausage in a large skillet over medium heat for 3-4 minutes until browned.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine cream of chicken soup, sour cream, and cheddar cheese. Mix in chopped onion and seasonings until smooth.
  4. Fold in frozen diced hash brown potatoes and sautéed kielbasa into the mixture.
  5. Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish, level it out, and sprinkle remaining cheddar cheese on top.
  6. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 45-50 minutes, then uncover for the last 15 minutes of baking.
  7. Let the casserole rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.
