Step-by-Step Instructions

  2. Divide the lamb mixture into six equal portions and shape each into a patty about 4 inches in diameter. Season both sides with additional salt and pepper.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Cook the patties for 5-6 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for another 5-6 minutes until reaching 140-145°F internal temperature.
  4. Grate the English cucumber and drain in a fine mesh sieve for 30 minutes. In a mixing bowl, combine the drained cucumber with Greek yogurt, feta cheese (if using), lemon juice, minced garlic, fresh herbs, and a pinch of salt and pepper.
  5. Toast pitas or burger rolls on the grill for a minute, then assemble by placing a lamb patty on each and topping with tzatziki and fresh veggies to your liking.
