Step‑by‑Step Instructions for Quick and Hearty Keema Curry
  1. Heat 2 tablespoons of cooking oil in a sauté pan over medium heat. Add 1 chopped onion and sauté for about 2 minutes until translucent.
  2. Increase heat to medium-high and add 1 pound of ground beef, cook for 5-7 minutes until browned.
  3. Stir in 4 cloves of minced garlic and 1 tablespoon of grated fresh ginger, sauté for an additional 2 minutes.
  4. Mix in 2 tablespoons of tomato paste, 1 tablespoon of curry powder, a pinch of cayenne, and 1 teaspoon of garam masala, sauté for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Pour in 1 cup of coconut milk and 1 cup of broth, add salt and black pepper, stir in 2 tablespoons of chopped cilantro and lemon juice. Bring to a gentle boil.
  6. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes. Adjust consistency with water if needed.
