- Begin by seasoning your pork shoulder generously with salt and pepper. Place the seasoned pork directly into your slow cooker.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the Dr Pepper, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, honey, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika until fully combined.
- Pour the prepared glaze carefully over the pork shoulder in the slow cooker, cover, and cook on low for about 8 hours.
- Remove the pork from the slow cooker and transfer it onto a cutting board. Shred the meat using two forks.
- Return the shredded pork back to the slow cooker and mix it with the remaining glaze. Adjust the glaze consistency if needed.
- Serve the pulled pork on soft sandwich buns or over creamy mashed potatoes or in tacos.
