  • 1/2 tsp Cayenne Pepper optional
  • 1 tsp Salt to taste
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper to taste
Optional Flavor Boosters
  • 1 cup Corn
  • 1 cup Bell Pepper chopped
  • 1 tbsp Cocoa Powder optional
  • 1 piece Jalapeños deseeded for less heat
For Serving
  • Toppings sour cream, shredded cheese, green onions, cilantro, tortilla chips

  2. Step 2: Combine Ingredients - In the slow cooker, add onions, garlic, beans, tomatoes, tomato paste, and broth. Sprinkle in spices and optional ingredients if desired.
  3. Step 3: Mix and Cook - Stir ingredients until well combined, cover and cook on low for 7-8 hours or high for 4-5 hours until thick and bubbling.
  4. Step 4: Taste and Adjust - After cooking, taste and adjust seasoning if needed, stirring well to incorporate.
