  • 1/2 cup Sour Cream Greek yogurt works as a substitute
  • 1 cup Monterey Jack Cheese can substitute with pepper jack for extra kick
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese choose between sharp or mild
  • 2 medium Jalapenos remove seeds for milder results
  • 1/4 cup Green Onions chives are a good alternative
  • 1 packet Ranch Seasoning can use homemade ranch mix
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder fresh minced garlic can be used for bolder taste
  • 1/2 tsp Ground Black Pepper adjust according to preference
For the Coating
  • 1/2 cup Chopped Roasted Pecans can swap for chopped pretzels
  • 1/4 cup Flat Leaf Parsley omit if not available

Method
 

Cheese Ball Preparation
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine crumbled bacon, softened cream cheese, sour cream, Monterey Jack cheese, sharp cheddar cheese, finely chopped jalapenos, and sliced green onions. Add ranch seasoning, garlic powder, and ground black pepper. Blend until creamy.
  2. Form the mixture into a ball shape and wrap it in plastic wrap for chilling.
  3. In a separate bowl, mix the chopped roasted pecans, additional crumbled bacon, and cheddar cheese for the coating.
  4. Gently roll the cheese ball in the coating mixture until fully covered.
  5. Wrap the coated cheese ball tightly in plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for at least one hour.
  6. Before serving, unwrap and let the cheese ball sit at room temperature for about 15-20 minutes.
