Step-by-Step Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine 1 cup of water, 1/3 cup plus 1 tablespoon of unsalted butter, 1 teaspoon of salt, and 2 tablespoons of sugar. Bring to a boil, then reduce to low heat. Gradually stir in 1 cup of plain flour and mix until a dough forms.
- Remove from heat and let the dough cool for about 4-5 minutes. Mix in 1 large egg and 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence with a spatula until smooth.
- Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes. Spray the air fryer basket with nonstick cooking spray.
- Transfer dough into a piping bag fitted with a star tip. Pipe bite-sized pieces into the air fryer basket, leaving space between each churro.
- Lightly brush churro bites with melted butter. Cook in the air fryer for 10-12 minutes, checking for golden brown color.
- In a bowl, combine 1 cup of white sugar with 1 tablespoon of cinnamon powder. Toss churro bites in the mixture until evenly coated.
- Serve warm churro bites immediately, perhaps with a dipping sauce.

Notes
Allow the dough to cool before adding the egg to avoid scrambling. Avoid overcrowding in the air fryer for best results.
