Ingredients

  • 1 cup Water Base for creating a sweet syrup
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar Adds sweetness; swap with agave syrup for a lighter option
For the Drink
  • 4 cups Lemon-Lime Soda Any clear lemon-lime soda works or use sparkling water for a twist
  • 1 teaspoon Coconut Extract Gives that signature creamy coconut flavor
  • As desired Blue Food Coloring Essential for that fun ocean-blue appearance
  • Optional Shark Gummies/Swedish Fish Fun garnishes for a playful touch

Method
 

Directions
  1. In a small microwavable bowl, combine 1 cup of water and 1 cup of granulated sugar to create a sweet simple syrup. Microwave for 45 seconds on high. Remove and stir until the sugar is completely dissolved and the mixture appears clear. Set it aside to cool down.

  2. Once your simple syrup has cooled, grab a large pitcher and pour in the cooled syrup. Next, add 4 cups of lemon-lime soda and 1 teaspoon of coconut extract to the pitcher. Add a few drops of blue food coloring, adjusting until you reach the desired hue. Stir gently to combine.

  3. To serve, fill glasses with ice and pour the mixture over the ice. Garnish each glass with shark gummies or Swedish fish.

  4. For an adult version, replace the coconut extract with a shot or two of coconut rum. Stir gently before serving.
